Research, Publications, Creative Activity, and Scholarship within the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences. - Water/Energy Nexus
An Arizona Water Institute-funded initiative. A research team with NAU and U of A representation has completed a set of case studies of energy use by representative small rural Arizona water and wastewater systems. They identified, evaluated and prioritized technologies and strategies that can presently be used by Arizona water and wastewater providers to conserve water, reduce energy consumption, and reduce green house gases. The findings were condensed and summarized into a “Best Practices” guide.

- Health Research Alliance Arizona (HRAA)
Northern Arizona University (NAU) has become a key partner in an effort to build a state-wide infrastructure for Clinical and Translational Research in the state of Arizona. Beginning in February of 2008, NAU joined the collaborative efforts of Arizona State University and the University of Arizona in applying for a Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA), entitled the Health Research Alliance Arizona (HRAA).
