9th Annual Bilby Foot Race

The Bilby Research Center promotes a running race every autumn. The course is a two-mile loop around South Campus. The race is open to everyone, with or without an NAU affiliation, with ribbons awarded to all participants. There is usually a good mix of runners, including a few serious athletes as well as a bunch of people who just want to have some fun outdoors. We give away prizes and treats afterward, according to a random draw. There is also a special award that caters just to NAU staff and faculty: the best department team. Individual Category: everyone can race, whether they are NAU employees or not!

Team Category: Teams must be mixed gender of three or more people. Team members must be NAU or NAU-affiliated employees, faculty or staff. All team members must run the full 2-mile course. If there are more than three people on a team, the best three times will be scored.

Student Team Category: Same rules as team category above. Students must identify with a department or dormitory.

Runners age 40 and over will receive a time handicap.
